Happy New Month (It’s my birthday month!)

No one completes you.

Hello IMFYites! It’s been a while. And I have missed you all here. This was supposed to be a Valentine’s Day Post. Ugh!

Valentine’s Day

On my Social Media platforms,I made a poll on what post to make for Valentine’s Day and it was between my Music Playlist for the Valentine and my Favourite Romantic Movies, you know ideal for Netflix and Chill. But unfortunately, this post won’t be about that. I’m still working on that post and want it to come out well. And to let out a little secret (I have forgotten some of their titles). Don’t judge me! I mean like i still remember everything and how the story went, even some dialogues are still stuck in my head but I just can’t seem to come up with a comprehensive list. Also, forgive me but best believe that post would still happen.

Sometimes, things don’t work out as planned. But we need to know that. That is fine. Fairytales don’t exist they said, but you can create yours. It’s in your power to create a world of your own, your own fantasies, your own fairy tale and happy endings.

I see a lot of people of this millenial generation struggling to be loved. To get affection, to mean something to someone, getting heart broken as such young stages of their lives.

Just a a quick reminder that no one actually COMPLETES you. You are perfect and whole as you are. A person can only compliment you, and whomever you choose to partner with is a reflection of whom you are. Choose wisely beloved.

Elections

For those who wanted to know how the Elections went down in my area, here’s an idea.

It was on the news. It read 'A 25-year old man shoot dead by a stray bullet by hoodlums in Ibadan, Oyo state.' . His parents were on National TV. His father looked up to the skies as if to question God, he put his hands up towards the sky, then on his head, he walked around, he screamed, he cried, he wept. And was quite inconsolable. His wife, the boy's mother was on wrapper tied to her chest, she cradled her breasts, she looked up to the skies, she put her hands on her head, she looked around, she asked questions in the Yoruba language, she bent down, she stood up, she cried, she wept, she screamed. And that was when it happened, a drop of tears ran down my eyes, they became heavy, a little more tears, then I sniffed. . This was a young man who came to exercise his voting rights. Did he know that he would die yesterday? See, Nigeria doesn't give a hoot about you and I. These people we call leaders, their families are sending love from the abroad, they are safe, they have 24/7 security surrounding them. But you and I owe it to ourselves to protect ourselves. They don't give a shit about you whether you live or die, so what are you doing killing yourself, are you mad? . Bullion vans are found driving into a party chieftain's house a day before the elections, in his response he doesn't work for the government so ko, e no concern us? A female party agent at my P.U fought another woman who told her to stop speaking to people while the casted their votes. INEC officials came at 1pm and voting commenced an hour after when I had been there since 9am. A certain governor has artificial Palm trees littered all over the states, Igbos sat down in their homes and monitored elections from Social Media instead of going out to vote. . As it started to drizzle just after I had voted, I told myself that I can't even let rain fall on me because of Nigeria. Nothing is worth it. Save yourself. These people don't rate you! . Disappointed but not suprised.

Birthday.

That aside, it’s my birthday month and I’m so excited as always. My birthday is on the 12th of this month and I turn Twenty-One (21). I have nothing spectacular planned out, but I always remain positive and optimistic, because that’s a lifestyle ei?

Have a blessed month!

Love y’all.
