Turning 21| Weeding Szn – Get Ready!

Live now!

I told my self that I was going to make a post today unfailingly before I got up from bed.

I’m not going to mince words – I haven’t felt great in a while. And I mean in months, I have felt empty and like I lack direction and purpose. I just didn’t see the need to the many things I was doing if I still almost always was broke and unhappy.

But so many things are changing, and I have come to realise that when we ask God for a change, sometimes we might not understand how much this change for further growth can change and transform everything about and around us. It’s the weeding season, where all that is unwanted around us is uprooted, it would be uncomfortable at first because we’ve gotten so used to the weeds that they began to feel like real plants in our life. Be guided, God doesn’t make mistakes.

Now what have I been up to?

Let’s see, last week I turned 21. For once, I didn’t have any deep aspiration or lingering excitement. I was just there. And of course entirely grateful to God for life. I wasn’t as emotional as I was last year, I just wanted to go with the flow. It was a great day. I got to spend it with friends who thought it well to spend time with me and be my hype, irrespective of my condition and mood. At some point to keep it real here, I got sad. I really had big plans for this year but since it wasn’t working out or didn’t work out, I can’t come and kill myself. Most important things is that I am alive and well, and God is still a constant and nothing can beat that. We are learning to live in every moment and create memories, that’s how we live a fulfilled life. Not the abundance of material things or perfection because this doesn’t exist.

On the 7th of March, I got to lay someone I admired to rest. It was such a heartbreaking moment for his family especially; who meant the world to him, and his friends who loved him very much. But I got to learn something in all of this, there’s never a time to begin. He did everything he set him mind to do, and he did it well. He lived a life of service for others, always willing to lend out a helping hand, a listening ear and words of advice to whomever called his attention, he was spectacular. As I read through his tributes, there was a fire lit in me and it wrote out these words ‘You were made to create impact’, so are we all.

Be the light wherever you go. Whenever you find yourself in uncomfortable situations, LEAVE. You deserve better. Do not be afraid, go for it. You can.

Till next post,

Love xx.
