Today being the 1st of May at 8:19PM, I’m scared.
But knowing that the easiest way to conquer fear is to talk about it, I decided to share.
During the Easter holiday weekend, I attended my cousin’s wedding and on three different occasions, I was reminded that I have entered the ‘very soon, they will come with wine and come and carry you category’ A.K.A You’re old enough to marry.
Someone told me sometime last week ‘Do you know that your blog is boring? You’re writing about your past birthdays on it, who cares?! Are you popular?’.
I’m declaring this because my soul needs it, because it feeds on it.
And I don’t want it to die.
With a fractured heart, I want to write about all the times I took the back seat. The times I sat in the shadows and traced the contours of your face on the canvas of my heart while you laughed at her jokes.
I just want to say that I’m grateful for the little wins I’ve experienced in my life. The big wins are coming, I know it, I feel it. But while I’m waiting for them to come I’m eager to get my gear ready in preparation.
Trusting God for things I don’t understand.
